fluffy

A mixed media LO that pays tribute to the late Fluffy. She was a terrific layer, of eggs…….and always loved to be petted. She would run up to you and squat down for attention. Daniel sure misses her!

I found inspiration from a couple of places, for this LO. First the sketch……from Sketchabilities. I fell in love with this sketch #110 by Karan Gerber:

I absolutely love all the opportunity to add mixed media! Yea, its messy but…………….however, I adapted the running paint to a Glossy Accent drizzle because I just could not put paint on my LO and then let it run…………..no way!!!!  The challenge over at Child’s PLay blog is to use pipe cleaners…………well, how do I use them here? I wanted to make her name from pipe cleaners but I could not get it to look right and I needed to have the tag free as it contanins the journaling…….so I decided to make a small tuft of pipe cleaner straw(bottom left corner of photo).  I had fun playing with all the different medias……….this LO contains!

  1. What a beautiful layout! But I am so sorry to hear that Fluffy passed away; that’s really sad.

I love how you used the pipe cleaners. So very creative. Thanks for playing along with CPC.

Do you read Erin Blegen’s blog? I think you might like it. She designs for Prima…and she does lots of mixed media…and she raises chickens on her hobby farm! Your page made me think of her.

  2. What a fun way to use pipe cleaners!

I always look forward to your layouts Robyn. I love seeing all your farmyard animals in your layouts and smiling over your take on our challenges, reminds me so much of my childhood on the farm. We had a wonderful hen, Henrietta – a great layer too and she would eat out of your hand. Thanks for joining us on CPC.
